Questions we get asked

Split into the two sides — booking staff, and working for us.

Care homes

As soon as a cleared carer applies and you accept them. Shifts posted for the same day are seen by everyone who is free and qualified for that role.

Yes — that's the whole point. Carers apply, and you pick from their profiles, experience and ratings. Nobody is allocated to you.

Enhanced DBS, right to work, mandatory training with the expiry dates from the certificates, and a care knowledge test. Nurses also have their NMC pin checked. Anything out of date takes them off the board until it's renewed.

One charge per shift, worked out from where the carer lives to your site. It's agreed with you up front and shown separately, so there are no surprises.

Yes, from your account. Cancellation terms are in your terms of business — the earlier you tell us, the easier it is on everyone.

Yes. One organisation can hold as many sites as you run, with your colleagues invited in and, if you want, restricted to particular sites.

Carers and nurses

An enhanced DBS, proof of your right to work, your mandatory training certificates and a pass in our care knowledge test. Nurses need a live NMC pin. Your checklist shows what's outstanding.

Yes. Sign up, then add them as you get them. You just can't be put forward for a shift until the mandatory ones are on file and in date.

No. You apply for the shifts you want. Nothing is allocated to you and there is no minimum.

The shift board tells you exactly why — a certificate that's expired, a check still outstanding, a clash with another shift, or the role not matching yours.

The home does. They see your profile, experience and ratings alongside anyone else who applied, and choose. You're told as soon as they do.

Homes rate you after a shift, and you rate them back. It helps good carers get picked, and tells us where a home is worth going back to.
